Tarek Gadallah joined Ibrachy & Partners as a partner in January 2009. His practice focuses mainly on Islamic finance, mergers and acquisitions and related matters including , private equity venture capital investments, corporate finance , restructuring, joint ventures, divestures, and spin offs.

In conjunction with his M&A practice, Tarek handles a variety of debt and equity capital markets transactions including various types of corporate debt offerings, initial public offerings, pre-IPO private placements, privatization, secondary offerings, mandatory and voluntary tender offers and stock splits.

Tarek is an Islamic finance lawyer and a Certified Islamic Finance Executive. He combines legal expertise with an understanding of Islamic finance principles, techniques, structures and products which allows him to play a leading role in the structuring phase of transactions and assist clients in developing innovative Islamic products.

Tarek works closely with investment banks, financial institutions, private equity firms and financial advisors, and has extensive experience in handling M&A transactions including private and pubic transactions, high value, complex, and cross-border deals. He regularly advises public companies, brokerage firms, boards of directors, independent committees on regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance issues.

Tarek also advises on various aspects of commercial law including agency, distribution, manufacturing, intellectual property, trade and services, franchise, licensing, export and import, technology, international sale of goods and equipment, consumer protection and product liability.

Prior to joining Ibrachy & Partners, Tarek worked for several local and international law firms. He also served as Group General Counsel for one of the leading regional investment banks where he handled a variety of M&A and finance transactions in Egypt and GCC region.
