Soheir Elbanna is a senior associate in and a founding member of the Firm. Her practice focuses on banking and finance including bilateral and syndicated loans, acquisition finance, asset finance, project finance, multicurrency and cross-border financing, in addition to securities and collateral issues.

Soheir received an LLM degree from University College London where she has developed a strong academic foundation and understanding of international banking transactions.

Soheir has been acting as a lead lawyer in several financing such as the USD 191 million financing granted by the National Bank of Egypt to Egyptair as well as the USD 25 million financing granted by the Arab African International Bank to the Arab Investment Company. She has also worked on the debut USD 600 million Eurobond issuance for National Bank of Egypt due in 2015 with Citigroup Global Markets Limited, Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc., and the National Bank of Egypt, acting as joint bookrunners.

Further, Soheir has also worked on a number of merger and acquisition deals such as the demerger of Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E. into two holding companies to spin off certain assets from the earlier merger between Wind Telecom SpA and Vimpelcom Ltd.
